The Woman and the Dragon

In Revelation 12, “There appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” So who is this woman? Who is her child? And who is the dragon that threatens her? And what do all these wonders have to do with us? 

There Was War in Heaven

Revelation 12:7 says "there was war in heaven.” As in heaven, so on earth. This conflict  continues in our own hearts. In the temple, Satan offers unlimited money and power. The Father's messengers offer light and knowledge--an interesting choice, isn’t it? What do you think? Let us know . . . 

The Seventh Trumpet

In Revelation 11, John hears the seventh trumpet in the heavenly temple. Then something very significant happens--the veil of the temple sweeps open, and the saints see a remarkable vision. What does it all mean?

The Fourth and Fifth Trumpets

When the fourth and fifth trumpets sound, new judgments fall on the earth. he plague of  “A third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars." Where does this darkness come from? And is it already here? 

The Sixth Trumpet

When the 6th trumpet sounds in Revelation, a massive war takes place. An army overtakes the "holy city."  But the invasion John the Apostle sees is not necessarily a war of weapons but a war of words. He says, “Their power is in their mouths” (Rev 9:19)—that is, they speak the “words of false teachers,” which are like “fire, smoke, and sulphur.”  

The Second and Third Trumpets

At the sound of the second trumpet “a third part of the creatures in the sea, and have life, die” (Revelation 8:9). Scientists predict that human activity will extinguish more than a million species in the coming decades. Humanity has“wiped out 60% of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles since 1970. We have already doubled the destruction of the second trumpet, which kills off only one third of the earth’s creatures. Are we ourselves the plague prophesied?
 

The First Trumpet

In Revelation chapter 8, seven angels sound the trumpets of judgment. "The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up" (8:7). In this episode we find out that this judgment is already happening! 

The Great Tribulation

The scriptures say that only after "great tribulation come the blessings." And the book of Revelation speaks of a "Great Tribulation" that comes on the people of the earth and lasts 3 1/2 years, or 42 months. What is this "great tribulation"? Why do we have to go through it? And why does it last 3 1/2 years?
